The drive back to the Baltimore region was efficient, taking a mere 2 hours and 42 minutes. Throughout the weekend, the timeline was abuzz with 13,157 tweets. In terms of personal experiences, two sweaty t-shirts were managed, with one not originally belonging to the author. Culinary adventures included half a portion of “Macaroni & Gratin,” equating to about 1.5 servings, and the sampling of four different types of beer. The author also noted three instances of “UO” (unidentified object/event) and one sketch, acknowledging it as a tentative count. Approximately 3.5 hours were spent connected to Wi-Fi, and an additional 1.5 hours were dedicated to watching anime during the car journey.

Day three of Animazement was described as uneventful, despite being the longest “day 3” the author had experienced at the convention. The group remained in Raleigh until around 4:30 PM. The most memorable event of the day was a panel featuring Nagahama. The author expressed a desire to obtain a recording of this panel to write a detailed account, as it offered new insights into the anime “Simoun.” The panel was reportedly filled with “lots of other tidbits,” making it a rich source of information.

Another recurring highlight was Furukawa’s “Natto joke,” which consistently elicited laughter from the audience. The author noted that the joke is best experienced directly from Furukawa himself, as their own attempts to replicate the accompanying battle attack sound effects wouldn’t do it justice.

The second part of the charity auction also took place on day three. It was believed that Itano’s Macross sketch garnered the highest bid, followed by Kotoko’s shirt. The author’s group was reportedly the only one bidding on Kotoko’s shirt, possibly due to being among the few who received advance notice. This information was inquired about on Saturday. Ultimately, a fortunate fan walked away with one of Kotoko’s shirts, while others secured other autographed merchandise.

The presence of Densuke at the convention was unexpected, particularly when he was requested for a sketch. Densuke, credited as a key animator from an earlier era, was a notable figure. More details about this encounter and the origin of a Masaru autograph are anticipated for a later write-up.

The car’s entertainment theme for the return journey consisted of a significant amount of “iM@S” (Idolmaster) music, with an apology extended to anyone subjected to it. Interspersed with this was a discussion about a Waffle House promotion where a dollar could purchase a large slice of pie.
