UlasanAnime.com – You know you’ve reached a certain age when voice actors you grew up with start getting married. It’s a strange feeling, seeing these familiar voices tie the knot, and it makes you reflect on your own journey through anime fandom. First it was Maaya Sakamoto, and now Rie Tanaka? To be honest, Rie’s marriage isn’t that surprising; many might have expected it sooner. Exceptions like Michiko Neya are rare, but the question remains: who will emerge as the next cool, single voice actress who embodies the “onee-san” archetype?

It’s also amusing to think about the potential reactions. Where are those pictures of torn copies of her photobooks now? Or will they suddenly appear in second-hand stores like Book-off? Joking aside, I don’t really want to witness the extreme depths of Rie Tanaka’s fandom surfacing. It’s probably safe to say that at her age, getting married is a good thing. I doubt the vast majority of fans would genuinely object.

Now, some of us might be scratching our heads about another recent development. This post is, in a way, my reaction-face equivalent. Yes, Kouichi Yamadera is undeniably smooth, but wow. Who saw this coming? I don’t even mind the 17-year age gap between them; it’s certainly quite amusing and contributes to a couple that might seem a tad unlikely at first glance. I sincerely hope Yama-chan is good at Monster Hunter. Regardless, they have my best wishes.
If I had another chance to give her flowers, I still would. Just perhaps different kinds of flowers!
