UlasanAnime.com – As I continue to immerse myself in playing these games, I find myself identifying songs that resonate with me. This process inherently means that I’ve been actively listening to the music, researching the specific tracks, and contemplating them enough to form and articulate opinions.

The following is a compilation of songs that I can genuinely tolerate listening to repeatedly. To be clear, this means I can play the game with these songs in the background, though I’m uncertain about the experience of looping the “m@ster” versions or similar iterations.
MOONY
Jibun REST@RT
L.O.B.M
The World Is All One
Ready
Change
Ai Like Hamburger
Jitensha
Little Match Girl
Megare
Kyun! Vampire Girl
Otome yo Taishi wo Idake!!
Meisou Mind
Watashi-tachi wa Zutto… Deshou?
Colorful Days
It is important to note that this list is not exhaustive, nor is it based on a complete sampling of the game’s music. There are numerous songs within the iM@S universe that I have yet to experience, even when limiting the scope to the core group of 13, 16, or 19 characters, and excluding the extensive Cinderella collection. Many of the older “image songs,” for instance, are unfamiliar to me or have never been heard.
Consequently, it is natural that this list leans towards their more popular hits. These are the songs that gain significant exposure through the two primary iM@S games and are frequently performed at their recent live concerts. As a side observation, the Shiny Festa games have been instrumental in introducing some of these older tracks to a wider audience.

I must confess that a portion of my enjoyment for these songs stems from ironic appreciation. For example, it’s difficult to imagine anyone, particularly in the USA, not finding “Ai Like Hamburger” amusing.
PS. This song has become an earworm, dating back to 2006. Curiously, its sound is reminiscent of older music, making it feel like a revisit from the last decade. However, I refer to it in the sense of something from the 1990s.
PPS. I’m uncertain why I don’t connect with many of the original iM@S ensemble songs, yet I find myself enjoying numerous tracks from the “2nd Vision” era. One might assume I’ve heard “THE IDOLM@STER” enough times to form a definitive opinion.
PPPS. I am currently evaluating which Shiny Festa installment to purchase next. For the most part, I have completed Groovy Tune, with the remaining objectives involving achievements and engaging in Pokémon-like gameplay using SOF mode.
EDIT: PPPPS. I have added YouTube links for those songs you might wish to listen to if you are unfamiliar with them. The sheer volume of songs within iM@S makes it challenging to keep track, even for casual fans. Additionally, the videos themselves are quite entertaining. The “Otomoe yo Taishi wo Idake” PV from Shiny Festa, for instance, features a rather resolute Haruka walking down a corridor and assertively playing a recorder. This is amusing both because it evokes memories of this, and because it closely resembles the generic PV style seen in “Jitensha.”
