Wow, but how do you pass this off?

Denpa Kyoushi is noted for its interesting concept, but the execution is criticized for feeling like a rushed adaptation of a manga’s first chapter, a common issue that often deters the author from similar series. The opening theme by TrySail is described as catchy yet ordinary, with the author speculating it’s a pragmatic choice for commercial success. This series is categorized as another “10ch anime,” and the author observes a strong presence of TrySail’s music this season, hoping for more original content from them.

Triage X is summarized as a potentially winning combination of “boobs, gangsters, and sentai-type team bloody violence.” However, the author expresses uncertainty about its ability to maintain engaging execution and even less about whether it will offer a worthwhile theme.

Shoukugeki no Soma, better known by its English title “Food Wars,” shares the same execution concerns as Denpa Kyoushi but is deemed to be handled more effectively. The author humorously notes the distinctive voice of “Tanechan” and finds the series to be surprisingly erotic, comparable to Triage X. The strength of its source material might encourage the author to continue watching.

Danmachi, despite the “Hestia mania,” is found to be an intriguing anime. Its light novel origins are apparent, for better or worse. The author believes the story’s progression will be satisfactory, especially considering its likely 13-episode run, and dismisses the “boobstring memes” as irrelevant to the overall narrative.

Houkagou no Pleadies is appreciated for its visual presentation and aesthetics, but it is found to be “seriously boring.” The author admits it would be difficult to find motivation for a second episode but might consider watching it.

Punchline is described as a lot of fun, packed with more detail than many other anime. The production value alone makes it worth continuing. This series features “Tenchan” in a significantly different role than usual. The author has no issues with the oddly contrasting subject matter, even setting aside the noitaminA slot.

Dia no A prompts a request for non-recap episodes. While acknowledging the need for breaks, the author humorously questions why they can’t simply skip episodes rather than having recap ones.

Sound Euphonium is visually impressive but feels “less filling.” The author’s favorite aspect is its evocation of moody high school artsy feelings and the framing of the cast’s voices. “Moyochi” sounds natural and neutral, while “Moeshi’s” typical saccharine tone fits perfectly. The brass animation is described as “shiny,” and the author questions the adoration for Asuka when Mamiko is considered superior.

Fate UBW is met with a cautious liking for its new direction. The author feels UBW has always had potential for improvement and hopes this iteration will deliver.

OreGuile 2 is noted to feel very similar to its predecessor, with only minor differences.

Plastic Memories is charming in the style of a second-tier sci-fi cartoon. “Tenchan” portrays a “cooldere” character effectively and has many lines. The author believes this is her natural niche, provided the character has sufficient screen time and dialogue. Despite the story and characters not being particularly remarkable, especially for someone fatigued by Asimov-style robot narratives, the author anticipates emotional moments will eventually surface.

Etotama is surprisingly fun, much like the character “Rieshon.” While Rieshon needs support, calling Etotama the “Rieshon anime” is accurate. The author entertains the idea of “gorioshi” for Rieshon but doubts her capacity to handle it. This series is also identified as the most “anime anime” of the season, including its 3DCG elements.

Show by Rock is positioned for comparison with Etotama. It possesses a peculiar shoujo anime vibe that aligns with its goals but feels slightly off, similar to its somewhat awkward 3DCG. The author believes the underlying concept shines through despite the lackluster execution, making it worth watching for a bit and keeping an eye on.

Re-Kan is deemed “okay.” The author would enjoy more shows like it, but the hook isn’t strong enough to captivate them. They plan to let its viewership naturally unfold.

Regarding shows the author still intends to try:

Sidonia S2 will be watched as a marathon, with a humorous jab at Netflix for the delay.

Gunslinger Stratos, despite being “universally panned,” is scheduled for a trial viewing.

Oremonogatari, which is “universally praised,” will be watched with an effort to resist negative judgment.

The author tried watching RIN-NE but stopped after a few seconds.

Yamada-kun is of interest due to its appealing screenshots and cast.

Griasia is considered a matter of time. The author appreciates this show for being one of the few in a long while that they found difficult to watch but still felt compelled to continue, and they are looking forward to its second season.

Kekkai Sensen has not yet been watched due to lack of time.

The author maintains a “built-in Funimation bias” and doesn’t expect to use their services unless content is uploaded to YouTube or Hulu, as is typical. Even “Ninja Slayer” wouldn’t entice them to subscribe. They recall “Inferno Cop” being free and freely subbed, which they believe contributed significantly to its viral popularity.

Finally, the author mentions watching a few shorts, including a show featuring the “Suzuken/Yukarin duo,” and may pick up one or two more.
