UlasanAnime.com – Despite a party cancellation, the Anime North 2014 convention experience largely proceeded as planned, with the exception of a missed autograph opportunity.

The author reported a positive overall experience at the convention, including enjoyable interactions with Japanese attendees who expressed a strong fondness for Harami. Harami’s performance was noted as being very idol-like, which has become a recognizable aspect of her persona, especially following her announcement of a solo live event.
The organizational efforts of Exciel-P were highlighted as being instrumental in the smooth running of events. The author contributed in a minor capacity, while Paranda’s usual impressive contributions were also acknowledged. Moy served as a capable tsukkomi partner, and FirstP provided a grounded, student-like perspective on the world.
Anime North 2014 has solidified its position as the third most crowded convention. In contrast to Anime Central the previous week, Anime North possessed a distinctly international feel. This was partly due to the presence of over 30 Japanese attendees, or perhaps more accurately described as the “Hanamaru Cluster.” The situation had become so pronounced that these attendees were discussing how their presence might be impacting the experience for local fans of Harami.
The brunch experience at the convention was highly praised, with a recommendation for future Anime North attendees to partake in it. This convention also marked the author’s second consecutive cosplay event, highlighting a demanding schedule.
