UlasanAnime.com – Preparing for Anime Expo 2017 involved a bit more than initially anticipated, even with premiere access. This year’s information gathering was somewhat rushed, but here’s a compilation of links and details that can be shared.

Sentai Filmworks has shared their preview, though there isn’t much new to report. MangaGamer also has some information, which might be useful for those looking for commission opportunities. Funimation’s update is relevant for fans of Full Metal Panic!.
Atlus is participating with a food truck tie-in. Fakku is promoting a special offer with MEME50. Sekai Project has announced their presence, with a suggestion to bring seiyuu to their events. DenpaSoft is also listed, and Kadokawa is making its debut at Anime Expo, though details are scarce, with further updates possibly on their Facebook page.
Good Smile Company will be present, and while their offerings might tempt collectors, they are described as “not too terrible this year.” Visual Arts is also attending. Bookwalker is highlighting the author of Danmachi. Aniplex USA’s participation includes the presence of Kawasumi, though attending the FGO panel might be difficult for some, especially those currently playing the game.
Bushiroad is holding its Grand Festival (US version) with mini and main stage schedules available. The general advice for these events is to arrive early to queue for merchandise purchases that grant tickets for autographs or other special activities. It’s recommended to budget at least an hour for travel between events, considering potential traffic.
Crunchyroll seems to be holding back on major announcements, possibly due to their own party planned for Northern California later in the year. Key details are available for the two AWM shows: Japan Kawaii Live and Japan Super Live.

- Call books will be distributed; check Twitter for locations.
- Tickets must be picked up from the AX Will Call booth near the LACC south hall entrance. There is a four-hour minimum pickup window before the first show. For example, a 7 PM show requires pickup by 3 PM. This deadline is particularly tight on June 30th. AX offers the option to pick up tickets directly at the venue by emailing them. Tickets can be collected on June 29th, and starting at 8 AM on June 30th.
- Anime Expo is enforcing badge and ticket checks at will call. While having MS Theater staff handle this would be more practical, the current system means many will face issues on June 30th. Tickets can be left under a name, and names can be changed later.
Information regarding AX Autograph rules can be found online. On June 30th and July 1st, AWM is expected to have merchandise sales at the Microsoft Theater, but it’s advisable to check on the day of the event for confirmation.
