Seiyuu Nicknames, 2016 Spring Edition

UlasanAnime.com – The 2016 Spring Edition of seiyuu nicknames is here, following up on last year’s post. The author notes that the title isn’t an indication of a strict update schedule, humorously adding a “Baka!” to deflect any assumptions. This year’s list is presented in an indexed format for ease of use, with a recommendation to utilize CTRL-F or Command-F for quick searches.

Seiyuu Nicknames, 2016 Spring Edition

The author acknowledges a degree of personal bias due to being a “Producer” (a fan term in The Idolm@ster franchise) but aims to make the list helpful for a wider audience. This compilation serves as a less incomplete transliteration of the imas-db CV page, with some additional entries. Similar to the previous year, many older seiyuu nicknames have been omitted, and the author admits the list is not exhaustive.

All changes and additions are detailed after the jump.

CG/ML/New Wave Seiyuu Nicknames:

The author expresses a desire to revisit the introduction of CG (Cinderella Girls) and ML (Million Live) seiyuu who are rising in popularity. While the prediction from last year still holds some truth, the focus has shifted from a generational snapshot to a broader view of newcomers entering the anime industry. The author notes the amusing realization that trends observed today were already in motion a year ago.

This year’s update includes a significant number of new CG seiyuu, partly due to the addition of around 20 new voices in DereSute and more “au naturel” voices. The author also claims to know more of them now. All ML seiyuu with nicknames are believed to be included, and the natural evolution of nicknames means some may have acquired new ones.

Additionally, HPT.moe has published articles on CG/ML seiyuu, with several links provided for further reading:
